I had an old mini/travel board with a similar gain structure a few years ago.

My modest board- wish I could replace the SYOD with a BJFE v2 or a BJFE Model G, but I recently reversed the HB and the SYOD, and it seems to be working out well enough. With everything lit up, my Regal II was screamin' at our little gig Sunday afternoon. :music

My drive setup was the BBOD into my beloved HB for years until I traded the BB for a SYODv1 a year or so ago.

I now think I was probably better off with that rig, but at the time I felt something was missing. Now I'm thinking a SYODv2 or a Model G would give me what I'm looking for. The v1 seems a little too bright with my ASAT Classic at times.

What are you using amp-wise?

I'm rocking a modded Fender Pro Junior. Simple as and sounds great! It's simplicity is an excuse to use some cool dirt pedals.

I had a 1994 tweed Pro Jr. that was my main amp for years (I had a Clubman that mostly sat in the closet for years- too much amp for most of my applications).

I put the chassis in a custom cab with a 2X10 P10R configuration, and sold the original cab and speaker on ebay for $15 less than I bought the amp for new. :D

When it finally gave out 3 years ago, I had a local builder use the chassis as a platform for a custom circuit.

That was a great amp!
