Thanks Slim! I will definitely provide a thorough review (to the best of my ability). i don't know much about the amp circuitry yet, as i have been so focused upon the pedals. i am quite intrigued to see what BJ has come up with as far an amp circuits. NATURE KNOB on an amp? sounds VERY VERY interesting.....i wonder if he has made an amp that would make me want to NOT use my distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals? hmmm.........

Thanks Slim! I am not sure if the tone balance control is the same as a nature knob technically, but it operates in much the same way, in that you can dial it from left to right and very much change how the tonal platform sounds. It is very cool, and very responsive (i.e. a small adjustment is noticable).

As far as making an amp that would potentially replace pedals...I haven't spent much time using the "abnormal" input (the dirt input --- over simplification), but I have stumbled upon tones that reminded me of the Honey Bee and the Dyna Red --- with no pedals. The master volume (and the attentuator) make all sorts of dirt possible at manageable levels.

Also, on my other amps, I've used the Sea Blue EQ to "sweeten the tone", and the results when you click it on are pretty dramatic -- in other words, when I used it on the Victoria or the Germino, the SBEQ made a big difference. With the CS-40, the difference is much less noticable. It's kind of like the MP already has the sweetness inside.

Yes, and we haven't even gotten to the possibilities that arise from using the MP CS-40 as a pedal platform. When you factor in all the things the amp does, combined with how it takes pedals ... it's just unbelievable.

Pedal platform --- VERY VERY TRUE. I've just started to experiment, but I was messing around with the Baby Blue over the weekend and discovered that. It was like MP + BBOD = something entirely different than I expected it to sound like --- but it was based on the amp settings if that makes sense.

It's possible brother! When I started adding up the trade value of some of my gear, it wasn't nearly as far out of reach as I thought. Go for it!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want one of those sooooooooooooo bad!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a great score, congrats!!!!!!!!!! I think it's time for me to sell off some guitars and make the investment, I just can't imagine there being a better "new" amp out there. There are lots of incredible amps out there, but I feel like they are all in some way shape or form a clone of a vintage Marshall, vintage Fender, Trainwreck, or Dumble, and from what I gather of the MP, BJ has taken the road less traveled and created something totally new. That's what I love about BJF pedals and that's what I know I'll love about the MP amp.......some day!

LOL! That'd be a heck of a tourbox. At that point we'd have to come up with a new name for it. It will be available for the BJF Fest though!

Yep, the mighty CS-40. The best amplifier to grace the planet in my humble opinion. I love mine and use it as first choice 9 times out of 10. There are definitely a ton of sounds packed in there and the great news is that NONE of them are less than STELLAR! Rock on man!
