Doc, I am WITH YOU.

You see, my very first overdrive that I bought in 1979 for $40 at Werlein's Music in New Orleans was a narrow box Ibanez TS-808.

I used it to play into a tube amplified record player that I had modified to have a 1/4" jack.

To my ears, the TS-808 Tube Screamer sounded close to that Angus Young AC/DC sound I wanted to hear!

so, the "green box overdrive" is very deep in my blood.

and the LGW is the best of those sort of boxes I have ever heard. I traded my BJF model to another forum brother for his MP model and a little $$$, because I am trying to use as many MP series pedals as possible.

Like Huckleboogie says, you have to be careful when you travel a lot. And if I lost a board full of BJF, I would be heartbroken, and also not be able to afford to replace them 8)

And I am also trying to support Harri & Custom Sounds as much as possible, so that when guys here in the USA see my board, I am not acting like:

"OH.....THESE pedals are made out of un-obtanium, and are very expensive, and YOU'LL never find them, etc".....like some of those guys at TGP act.

I want to be able to say --

"Yes -- these are Mad Professor pedals, they are as affordable as any of the other boutique effects, and are easily bought at several dealers here in the USA, here, let me hand you a brochure or business card, so you can check them out, they are REALLY good, and really the best, because they are designed by the GOD OF THUNDER himself, Bjorn Juhl"

I am a working musician, which means I'm nearly broke :-)

"One of the perks of being an unemployed musician is that you get to play much less bad music."

Business-wise -- something Bjorn cares little for, but happens to be one of my areas of expertise -- here's what needs to happen for success.

We, the "inner circle", test and demo the custom shop stuff. Of course we still order nice pretty BJF pedals!

BUT.......

For the line to move forward in the USA and worldwide, we need increased production of the MP series pedals, and we need to get them to price points that are competitive with all the other boutique builders.

Currency fluctuations are already bringing the prices down a bit.

But as Harri gets his manufacturing costs down a bit, and increases production, then we get more dealers in the USA, and more players using the pedals, etc.

Bjorn makes the designs, we test them, the good ones go to Harri, he makes an MP pedal of the design, and it becomes part of the line.

If somehow we can get the "street price" of the MP series pedals to $250 USD, there are gonna be a LOT of scared boutique builders.

Here's a question BJ asked me, and I could not give him many answers.

TELL ME how many boutique builders out there are using ORIGINAL CIRCUITS that they designed themselves.

not just a better TS-808, fuzzface, univibe, etc.......but an ORIGINAL CIRCUIT.

go ahead..name them.

wow, that is some box of goodies.

I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the AMWM, the LGW, and the MGMV.

sorry to hear that the EGDM didn't fit, myself everytime I sell one, I end up missing it more than I realized and end up buying another. I've heard that the AMWM/SBOD can get some of those tones of the EGDM, then do a lot more. Seems like a handy pedal to have on board as does the LGW.

MP LGW is just as amazing sounding as the BJF LGW.

AMWM is really nice too.......the MP SKY BLUE is that same pedal. It's a different overdrive, with more distortion characteristics, and more gain than LGW.....

MGMV is very cool, but i think i need to hear it LOUDER and MORE 8)
