Hi,

OK that's me in 1985. Not shown in the picture is the fuzzpedal I used.
Anyway 23 years later on milk odd things happened

Image

Yes that guitar has a story:
I once went to a vintageinstrument store Halkan's Rock House and there was this guy who might have been beamed down from 10cc just telling from the hair due and he had one such guitar playing jazz through a Polytoneamp.......then he asked the proprietor Halkan himself if you could get distortion too?

Halkan dialed the amp and the guy played some of the most melodicly excellent riffs of rock guitar.......

I knew then I must have one of those and I sent a scout to US to get me one but he was gone for long and came back with no such guitar. Later a friend called and told he had seen one in a guitarstore near him in the south suburbs so I took the train and played the guitar until the store closed so I could be sure that noone would buy it except me. You see I saw one such guitar at another store and when I came to buy it it was allready sold allthough I had glanced that for several months building up cash to buy it ...........it was sold to one of the guitarists of Eldkvarn that was then a popular band and the only reason it was sold was because somebody had stolen the guitarist's strat and so the tech went out and bought a new guitar- something that looked good........while the guitarist of Eldkvarn was colourblind.............ahum anyway the next day as the shop in the south suburbs opened I was there with cash and went straight and picked the guitar up and told I wanted to buy it. I was thinking I might try to get a lower price just a little lower so I could buy something to eat........but the store owner just quoted the price and reall in remembrence of the evening before and that I knew I'd play really well on that guitar and learn many new tricks, I just would not take a chance of arguing- it felt like once in a lifetime oppurtunity-yes I know the salesguy would have sold it anyway to me but it was love for an instrument.

I did indeed learn many things on that guitar and an urge was at rest.

I was willing to sell my strat to get this one but I didn't have too as luck came my way.

In 1985 I'd build effectspedals for those friends that asked and for my own use to get the new sounds needed.

Have fun
BJ
