Alright, poultry lovers...time for babes aka the first LouderAndMore groupies. In the good old tradition of WWII land lease etc we have ladies assembling the electronics.

Helena is assembling the FX-Loop boards (click on image to see in higher resolution)

Here is Anna-Karin working on main boards that house the preamp, tube power stage and rectifiers.

A few warning words from Mr. Louder & Mr. More  :

The place where all this is happening (aside from my apartment turned into an upholstery workshop) is http://www.fabec.se

Got the production master amp all wired, assembled, tweaked and tested on my bench. Now I'm off to a rehearsal studio to put it through it's paces. There'll be pix later.

edit:

The live test was conducted in Lasse "Crybaby" Jilden's rehearsal studio. Initially we aimed for a quick "extended lunch break".
We started by checking the amp basic sound, touch and pick response and guitar volume control response, engaged and tested FX-loop as solo boost. We plugged a Danelectro in the loop and it worked just perfectly. Foot switches operate as expected without audible clicks. All OK!
Next came a test of my little invention of the front baffle acoustic dispersion lens. I asked Lasse to play a high treble content riff and walk the 6m length of the room in front of the amp. There was no major loss of treble along the walk, some minor dips were noticable but these were most probably due to room reflections. Treble coverage is about 90-100 degrees in horizontal plane.
It was about time to finish the "extended lunch break" but Lasse decided to put on some backing tracks through the PA........well, it became a "well extended lunch break". When Lasse keeps on playing and his right foot starts stomping the tempo it means his full approval. Guitars we used were fitted with HBs, P90 & DiMarzios. NO single coils were at home today. On solo playing we thought that one might want to spice the sound a bit with a just a touch of a treble booster in front of the amp but with backing tracks this was totally unnecessary.

The backing tracks were with just a rhythm section and with full set including vocals. The LouderAndMore could fit in the mix without any problems, not conflicting with keyboards or vocals, just occupying it's balanced space in the sound landscape.

If I may say so myself: I'm damned pleased with this one. Final assembly of the whole batch will start coming Monday. I just need to sleep for a day or two, these were 14 hrs workdays during past months.....what is Saturday and Sunday :? :?: :? :?:

As usually, clicking on pictures displays them in higher resolution.

Spent all of yesterday at Fabec training assmbly & test guys.
Here's Bengt at his bench running tests on a complete amp chassis.
Each amp will be thoroughly tested and documented. Each will have to fall within 2% on electrical specs compared to the master build. After that it'll be time to marry them with combo/head cabs and run live testing.
