OOPS.......i meant to add this post to my endless "intro" thread, but i am still a little road weary from three solid days of gigs, and lots of driving....

three more from the LGW photos.

being that i play in conditions like this ALL THE TIME, i prefer that the circuit boards are "gooped". plus, anything that makes it harder for the cloners/copiers/lazy bastards at the "forbidden forum" is alright with me.

I know if any of them break down, Bjorn will fix them for me. And I don't CARE that I cant see the components, etc. That GOOP protects the circuit board from corrosion, the salt and sea air, and other nasties like dust and grme.....

sometimes i honestly think i might have been a decent photographer, if i had not been such a guitar player

thank you emjee -- and don't worry. Newark/Mike knows how to pack and ship, and his word is gold. I haven't known him long, but you can learn a lot about a person by being in the same room with them.

He did all the camera work, which was excellent.

I had heard NONE of the pedals first, so you got my HONEST first impressions. NO edits.

Mike was very gracious in allowing me to do all the playing that night, since i basically drove all the way there, waited fro him to arrive, set up the gear, did the pedal party, and then drove all the way back....whew!

You are gonna have a good time 8)

MY ONE SUGGESTION/REQUEST......

Take the CLiffhanger, and run it into a LOUD CLEAN amp cranked up........I think we missed the nuances of that one, and it haunts me.

The Snow White Fuzz haunts me every day, every gig. The sound of THAT one is pure magic, especially for a fuzz.

Would like to hear Model H into a loud clean amp with a 4x12 too. I think more ANGUS than PETE.......but what can I say? I listened to AC/DC (Bon Scott Era) more than I did The Who

Hey folks, the tourbox is en route to Cali as we speak! I've been keeping in contact with emjee through email and he's been very gracious--I got kinda sick last week and had intended to ship a lot earlier but he basically told me to take my time with it and make sure I got to enjoy it fully. Thanks man!!

So I don't have a whole lot to add to the impressions I gave already except to say that in the end the SWF was hands down my favorite of the lot. That baby is gonna haunt me. One thing we didn't do in the vid was really explore the tone & gain knobs, and it may be the difference between my rig and Bobby's but I actually found my favorite settings with the fuzz level set to about 4:00 rather than fully cranked. Seems like the gain actually tightens and thickens the low end, I was able to get more hair out of it by taking it down a notch. It still had that sheer power and grace that we were both immediately struck by though. Fun fun stuff.

And... though the tourbox went out today, my shiny new Model R arrived from my bro nibus! woohoo! I've been in BJFE heaven here.

Thanks to everybody for making this such a fun little experiment, and a special thanks to emjee for letting me hang onto it a little longer than I really meant to. Its a sad state of affairs when you're feeling too crummy to play and you've got all this amazing stuff in front of ya, heh.

Now... I'm off to play my new Arrrrrrrrr....
My BJFE- Some special ones. Some standard ones. I love them all just the same.
