I'm curious...how many members here own / use CAF? If so, can you share your thoughts?

Doc :)

Its the one pedal I keep two of , I always find nuances in the various settings, and it can also sound really tasty down low --- if I was limited to one fuzz for life it would be a CAF (especially if I had a SBEQ after it :) )

I have one 8) .

It is a nasty fuzz - It took me quite a while to get used to it, but I have finally figured out that it belongs before the Harry Joyce!!

Donner - I will have to experiment with the SBEQ on as well

What settings do you enjoy?

Bill

I enjoy the 'on' setting :D

Ive r ecently taken to the two extremes one the nature control - I really love this one into a HB and the CAF into the LGW is a favortie singing lead sound that suprised me ...

Hey Donner,

Can you tell us a little bit more about what happens when you stack CAF > LGW? It got me wondering about what could happen if I tried CAF > DAOD. I realize that LGW & DAOD are different pedals, but I wonder if it would still do something similar as they are both OD's coming after CAF.

I figured this type of discussion could also help others who have CAF & either LGW, or BBOD, etc.

Your thoughts?

Doc :D

one very cool thing about the CAF is that you can roll the fuzz knob down and still get the flavor of that fuzz setting to blend into another drive - so you can put t he gating or ring modding or octave into a drive for some cool combos...

the CAF into the LGW is a useful stack - use the singing sustain of t he CAFs fuzz ontop of t he low compression barky drive of the LGW to mix your own .....I was shocked at how dynamically controlled a completely out of control firehose tone could be :D
