..just received my CAF yesterday, #66.
2 early comments:
- if the Folk Fuzz is 3.5%; this thing is 100 proof!!
- if the CAF doesn't bring a smile to your face in every setting, talk to me about starting you on Prozac!!

This pedal is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is so textured and crazy. I think this may grow to be my favorite BJF of all.
It stacks so well with the HB too! I've read that it was cool and now I get it. I've actually put the CAF before all of my other drives. There are some settings that do things you wouldn't expect. When you dial the nature in between the crackles there is a drop in gain. That's where those synth like tones are. I'll post particular settings soon.
This is a fun one for sure.

by "synth like tones" are you meaning "old school video game sounds". If so, I might have to get to getting one of these at some point soon.
do some of the settings on the CAF do some octave-ish sounds?

Hey Sean,
Yeah, something like that. You should check out the Tomo Videos. I think it was the 2nd or 3rd one. That will give you an idea.

Thanks for the clips BJ!
Man, that pedal is insane! sounds like destruction in a box. I heard just about everything in a fuzz box I could want...well, maybe some Smashing Pumpkins Siamese Dream type stuff or Teenage Fanclub...but I'm sure it could be handled...
that pedal is next on my list...and a PGC....got to wait until my HB and EGDM show up though
got to show some discipline(sp)

hey fellas,
how are you setting your caf's for an old muffy type tone?
I've been at it forever and cant seem to get that close.
Its in that nature knob somewhere I know it.....
Or maybe I need a little stackaroo help here.
Cheers

I don't think the CAF was designed to cop the Big Muff. There may very well be a stack you can do but the pedal by itself seems to have a distinctly different personality than that of a Big Muff. I'd also be interested if anyone has stacking advice. In any case, good luck!
