The DRD never ceases to amaze me...

No matter what I plug it into, no matter how loud (or soft) I am playing, it always brings a smile to my face! Fenders, Voxes, Traynors, Mesas, it always works - just a little tweak of the treble knob and I'm set.

I don't know if there will ever be a better med-high gain distortion pedal made. It's like a second channel to my amps, never sounds like a pedal. And I have played a lot of distortion pedals...

IMO this pedal is worth the price of an amp. Maybe it is an amp in disguise?

Just had to get that out. Hadn't plugged it in for a few days. :D

I have heard the Pink Purple with the DRD = a Cliff Hanger?

Is this true?

Because I have a custom PPF with "added heat" arriving tomorrow!! :D

yeah Id have to agree, its been the old stand by ~ Mr. Dependability for a long time - and it travels amp-to-amp well ... I know one thing BJ spent a lot of time tweeking on the DRD and the BBOD was that they sound great in a room but also close mic'ed so it goes from stage to studio to bedroom very smoothly , which is no easy trick ...I think its still what BJ uses himself too on his own small board 8)

Hi,

There's one sound in the DRD that gave it its name and that is what I tend to come back to.

Thank you for the good words
BJ

This was my first and still fave BJF, for myself with a Les Paul using Duncan Antiquitie PAFs somewhere's between 10 and 11 o'clock can go from quiet and clean to suprisingly agressive chordwork depending on how energetically I apply my pick. I got in late on the whole BJF thing and I really was hoping they would be overhyped and something I'd turn over real quick but my experiance has only been the opposite. In short order I've added EGDM, Model R, and just received a HB and they are all, IMHO, the top of the game out there. Thanks to BJ for providing really worthwhile pedals that honestly deserve their acclaim.
