eskimo.............germino+dyna red..great start....for the first 4-albums------my choice would be ---((((u could also use the mighty red))))-with single coils!!!

germino 40 + 2x12 or 4x12 with scumbacks-speakers....Fulltone tte which adds some gain &delay..mxr-evh phaser on the first album and then mxr evh flanger......I also use baby pink booster for solo"s
guitar--------u can get there with a Nash but u will have to eq everything because of single coils...But it can work....

Remember after dave left ...eddie seem to like the Eventide Harmonizer-different tone....

the only one out of my BJF/MP pedals that seems to be "not for me" is the Deep Blue Delay....i just cant seem to tweak it to my taste. i was used to the T Rex Replica and sold that one immediately to replace it with the DBD when it came out. but i miss the "warm" repeats of the replica in the "brown" mode, that can make it sound almost like a reverb. the repeats in the DBD are always very audible. for a lot of people its a great delay, i'm sure, for me it doesnt seem to work:-(

Yeah that warm melty delay is more analog than what tape does - and the DBD is after tape sounds.....

I like the DBD either real short like reverb or otherwise I like it into a reverb lke the Holy Grail or EBS Dynaverb -- it melts into verb just the way I like it.... and that way I can leave t he verb on and pop the Delays in and out......

but sure its not for everyone and you should get what works for you

I got a holy grail + comin and will try that combination of delay and reverb in the future.....the holy grail for wet sounds and the DBD into the holy grail for "ambience" effects. i am not ready to give up on the DBD - convinced that i basically can't go wrong with using any of Bjorn's designs, it's just the question of what to use in which situation. thanks Donner for the info....the only tape echo i ever used was the fulltone, which was in stereo mode too, so it sounded quite different.

ah cool. the Hall setting is my favorite and the Flerb is just plain fun for a change and the DBD into it is also something you can leave on if the delay isnt too obvious.... enjoy and let us know how it works in your rig...

Ah, yes I too have an EH Holy Grail that was broken but that I fixed and reboxed ...........with just a swithcs for Hall and Reverb- Flerb I can do without

actually its fun to turn the level most of the way up and it sounds like the guitar is in the distance behind a flanger ...(which it is )

For me, the shelved pedal is the Model R. I much prefer the tonal spectrum of the DRD. Through my amps, the Model R sounds fairly dark and heavy on the mids. The DRD has more highs available (which I like) and more even response, so the DRD pretty much always beats the Model R out in the which-pedal-gets-to-stay-on-my-board contest.

funny how the R works different for everyone,,,its been on my never leave home without it board for a good while now.
I tried to simply my drives and distortion and overall pedalboard by lugging amps around instead. so this one is mostly modular stuff.
