That'd be cool -- or I could probably send mine to you to check out soon if that works for you.

cajone5, I think your # is 177 and it is labeled as being made with solid core wire which may further change the sound.

It looks like #166 to me :) and yes it was wired with solid core wire although this should not change the sound. I actually recall this coming up before and have talked to Bjorn about it and he said it was just what he had on hand at the time and he labelled it just to be fun because the future owner(s) may find it interesting

From what I've gathered, the BBOD evolved ever so slightly over time and was also built with whatever components were on hand at the time so the type of components may have varied slightly although it seems the circuit itself pretty much remained the same. I think I may let this one go and keep on searching for one from the batch that musicsoma's came from. It's a killer pedal but it's ever so slightly different from what I'd ultimately want. And after all isn't the fun really in the hunt?

Glad you're having fun with that BBOD. Seriously no rush on my end to get it back, so if you want to hang on to it and try it against a few others, you are welcome to it.

Looks like mine's actually #169. Been using an SBEQ after it to brighten it up a bit. And is yours not true bypass? Or is it using a transistor to drive the LED? Mine has a 3PDT in it...

Hey! Is Bjorn quoting 'Unguarded Moment' by The Church inside your pedal (or paraphrasing since the line is "Tell those men with horses for hearts")? If so, that's very cool.

I've got BBOD #19. I don't have a picture in mine. Just some writing. It'd be great if Bjorn or Donner could explain their meaning. I'm curious to know. :study

Cajone5 you are correct sir. I was going off of my memory which if you ask my wife, is terrible!

Cool pix !! Lets see ~~ MF is Manufacture Date looks like New Years day 2002 ...

The writing below is swedeish word abbreviations that equate to:
Electronics Check ok
Mechanical Check ok

the wire is interesting as I thought the first 50 were all wired from the same spool of baby blue wire ....

does this one have an ac tap on top ?

This is one of the cleanest and crispest lettering examples Ive seen mm, very nice.... yes Bjorn and Eva would often write a favorite song lyric or something that was pertinent at the time inside to make them individuals .... and some have interesting stories
