Hello,

I have been searching for the MP amp in the US and notice that only the head is available? Will the matching cab be available at some point?

Thanks.

Details regarding cabs are still being worked out, AFAIK. Hopefully Eero will chime in here at some point. He is the U.S. rep for MP Amps.

It's my understanding that MP doesn't really have a matching cab at this time. I don't know if they are going to start making cabs or if they are going to outsource it (to their specs, of course). My guess would be the latter, as it would be far less expensive for all concerned to have something so big and heavy made here in the U.S. for North American customers. Perhaps they would make their own for the European market.

I don't pretend to speak for them, I'm just trying to help out with what little I have heard or read over the last few months.

If I am wrong, I'm sure Eero or Harri or somebody will step in and correct me.

Cheers,

Doc :)

Thanks Doc!

A very well put answer. The thing is that due to the hassle with the MP -pedal line, we have decided to go with the overseas production for now. As a matter of fact, the first unfinished MP cabinet was built today. I have been extremely lucky to get good suggestions from many people for good cabinet builders in the US. Couple of experiments that we have had so far have been disappointing. Eventually, however, I am sure we will start making them here also.

Eskimo_Joe, the answer is yes, definitely. A cabinet built overseas and built in Euros, comes with a premium. However, it is a genuine Mad Professor product, where the cones will be installed and tested by yours truly. And oh, I forgot to say, you can have which ever cones you want and we can also (and we want to) suggest what we like ourselves... :P

As you all know, the MP works well with basically any decent cabinet. If you want the MP looks and vibe, then I guess you don't have a choice...

Thanks,

Hi,

Well, there were some cabinetts made with piping but it proved to be so imensly expensive........anyway there are now cabinetts being made without the piping, still it will take some time until those can be available

Have fun
