SBEQ voltage question

Postby DocRock » Fri Sep 21, 2007 11:53 am

From HenkeeA, originally posted in the "Pedal Profiles" forum....

"Hi, Anyone who knows if it?s possible to run the Sea Blue EQ on 18 volt? Mine puts the amp into a little little bit of distortion as soon it?s engaged. This only happens when I use humbucker pick-up, singlecoils is no problems. I know that when you dubble the voltage you get a little more headroom, but I don?t know if the pedal will burn."

I don't know the answer, but I thought it would be better to have this in the "Ask BJ" forum.

Re SBEQ @ 18V

Hi,

Sure you can run SBEQ on 18V's. This will give more headroom and more output voltage available.

Oh, and HenkeeA, try 18V's first and let me know.

Hi Bjorn,

Will this also work with RRB?

Been trying to find a way to make my sound just a bit fatter and with more girth to it.

Could RRB at 18V do this?

Thanks,

Doc :D
