The Forrest Green Compressor came about like this
there was this guitarist that had really tried all compressors he could find and also the BJF PGC but he said for his style, mostly Rockabilly, he'd need the sustain but not the squishing of the notes and as he played some bits for me it struck me that what he'd need would be to have the transienst unaltered to set the pace of the music but the decay amplified to make chords and notes richer so I made a custom version of PGC for him and it turned out so useful that I redrew things so MP Forrest Green could be made

Hi, it's my first post here. I recently picked up an Evergreen Compressor and it has immediately moved up to the top of the list of my favourite comps.

I have a query re using it. Is there any advantage in running it at 18v, especially in terms of achieving maximum sustain? I'm playing a Tele into a Princeton Recording Amp and while I'm getting a lot of sustain, I'm not seeing the levels that I've seen achieved in some YouTube videos. It's early days and it may just be a case of me learning to use it but I was wondering if using 18v might be of benefit?

Any tips gratefully received and thanks for making such great tools!
