Celestion Alnico Gold

Postby Nocaster » Sat Sep 01, 2007 5:00 pm

BJ, due to the electronic update we spoke about, i went to Eric van der Haar, but soon as always, we came in other levels in sonic terms, i played my "Lucky Number" MP0013 for the last few years over two vox 2x12 from the HWH series, great cabinets, but today we tried to reduce the
weight i am cary around, we put 2 Celestion Alnico Gold (50 watt each)
in a Heritage cabinet, great builded cabinet maybe better then the 2 vox's
But the Gold Alnico's where huge, above clouds,,,,,,,,,,, of couyrse the great succes was to get the speaker over his limit, and started to sing
Now we have the clarety of a alnico, and use it as tranduser for the overkill tones for the mp.
try a test, or you did already, then tell me, your opinion
cheers
