Questions about BJF Dynamic Orange Overdrive

Hi Bj?rn!
Did just get myself a BJF DOOD, which is kind of...awesome...
The guy I bought it of described it as a kind of HB, but with more drive. When I tried it out, there was indeed great drive, great dynamics and a lovely upper mid. Gave a Les Paulish feel to my Tele, in a good sense. It was still my Tele. A also got the impression, which could be my wrong, that this was a oneoff.
Now. When I opened the DOOD, I noticed three things I would like to ask you about.
1) There is an OP-amp in the DOOD, which I don't think is used in the HB. Does this mean that the DOOD is a kind of LGW? (Have not heard the LGW, btw)
2) There is a pot, rather big, inside the pedal. What's it for? Do I dare turn it...?
3) On the inside, there is written DOOD 02. Out of interest and curiosity, how many DOOD exists? Or is this a custom shop order?
Anyway, thank you very much for making it. My search for a lead pedal seems to have come to an end.
