depends. I have never bought a Donnerbox, can you give an estimate? That'd be great!

I'll start a thread in the discussion forum. PCBs for prototyping should be here in 2 weeks. You wanna finish them and I'll drill for the PCB layout or what?

ITs a Booster and a Buffer, could call it a 'Buster'
and in BJFe style we'd need a qualifying color ~ Red is good for a booster ~ Cherry

How about the Cherry Buster ?

Could make it a three knob deluxe version with variable pre/post ohmage levels to match both ways..

Vari Cherry Buster ? could use a Red Flip Flop paint ?

"variable pre/post ohmage levels to match both ways.."

What does this mean ?

and YES to CHERRY BUSTER !!!!!!

another question to answer - knob names -----

I will be using three hole boxes .... this could be done in a number of ways ---- you could have a boost level and in out levels on the buffers ~ deluxe matching options
I guess you could also use the other two holes for toggles --- on/off for the buffer ~ add a tone cap option to the booster .... lots of possibilities....

Question is ~ what to do with lettering the the two non boost holes ---- leave them blank ???

opinions ???

perhaps the other two knobs could control low end and high end ?

naming the knobs eh..........well then.......perhaps they should be CHERRY BUSTER related names !!!

mmmm...if the above option for low and high control is an option...........BIG BOTTOM would be great for the low end !!!! :whistle

... well the point is that unless we all will use the lettered box the same way then the knobs should be unamed ....or we can name the ones on this box, and if people are doing custom versions then they can make their own box lettering ...
