Just an FYI to anyone (MBT74) looking to pick up a folk boost kit -- I will likely have 2 available but pedalpartsplus shipped half of the stuff I need to a wrong address in MD instead of my TX address so I'm won't have anything together until next weekend at the earliest depending on how long it takes them to sort all this out.

Nope -- I'm guessing it got deleted from the site Hulakat was using to host it. Here it is again...

FYI -- the enclosures I got were messed up and I'm returning them today and should (hopefully) have new ones next week. Sourcing the parts for this has been a total nightmare (messed up orders, things shipped to wrong addresses, etc.). I think I have all the parts currently so once the enclosures get here I should have enough stuff to make 3 full kits, one for myself and two for the folks here. I was able to buy in bulk to help keep costs down and I think it'll shake out to about $60-70 for the "kit" when all is said and done

Oh and I have enough parts to make several more parts kits w/o boards, enclosures, pots, knob, jacks, etc. if anyone wants just the components (caps, resistors, diodes, etc.). Just let me know.

If anyone is interested in a parts "kit" let me know and I'll try to put something together in the next week or so. I can do parts, 2x2 thru-hole boards, enclosures, jacks, switches, led's and bezels, etc. (basically a full kit including all parts, enclosure, etc.) or I can just do boards and parts. Depends what the level of interest is. Let me know and I will figure out a price for all of it.

Guessing ~$65-70 for the whole she-bang or ~$25 for the board and parts.

I probably only have enough stuff for 2-3 kits.

Thanks!

FYI -- full parts kit would include...

So just to be clear the "full" kit would have...

2 Neutrik Jacks (one mono one stereo)
1 3PDT Cliff/CHK switch
1 LED w/ Bezel (5mm -- color preference?)
1 9v power tap
1 Blue hammerite enclosure drilled for one knob, LED, switch, jacks and power tap.
1 Black chicken head knob
1 Battery clip
1 Battery holder clip (only if it fits in the box -- I'll check -- sometimes it's not necessary with the footswitch placement)
1 2x2 through-hole board from pedal parts plus (nice thick red board)
All resistors, caps, diodes and op amp to build the pedal
1 Op amp socket (so you don't have to worry about torching the op amp :) )
1 Potentiometer

I think that's everything -- if someone sees something missing, let me know :)

Alright!

At long last I FINALLY found some time to sit down and put a couple folk boost "kits" together. It includes...

-- All resistors (including CLR for LED)
-- All caps
-- All Diodes (including 5mm indicator LED)
-- Op Amp and Socket
-- 50kC 16mm potentiometer
-- Blue Hammerite 1 knob enclosure -- predrilled for jacks, power tap, LED, 1 knob and footswitch
-- 1 Black Chickenhead knob (note it requires a tiny allen wrench to tighten the set screw)
-- 9v Power Tap (standard 2.1mm boss style)
-- 1 Neutrik Stereo Jack
-- 1 Neutrik Mono Jack
-- Battery snap and holder
-- LED bezel
-- 2"x2" pad per hole perf board (red -- from pedalpartsplus -- really nice)

All quality hardware for the discerning pedal nerd

Disclaimer The leads on the 100uF and 4.7uF electrolitic caps are short -- it's all I had so these will not be able to aid in making traces. Plan ahead. Also -- didn't have 510k or 2k resistors. Included 560k and 2.2k (both within 10% of reported value so they should do fine but if you're extra picky you can special order those) :glasses

If no one picks these up right away I may go ahead and order replacements for the 2 caps and 2 resistors to get 100% spot on kits but I figured it's taken me this long -- no need making the wait even longer by ordering MORE parts :)

If interested PM me -- one may already be spoken for.

FYI -- here is a meathead clone I built in the same enclosure.

Oh... price... lets just call it $65 paypalled and shipped in the CONUS :glasses

Just did up a PCB layout that combines the buffer/boost (buffer is always active) using PC mount pot/LED that should fit in a K430 enclosure no problem. About to put in an order and decided to see if anyone here was interested. Price should be $5 or $6 per board plus shipping, limit 3 per person.
