FF DLX (3.5%) redundancy

I have not found the answers to my questions in the forum archives yet, so if I need to be directed, please help me find my way.

I just purchased a FF DLX 3.5%, and I was trying to figure out what the toggle switch does and whether or not the FF has significantly lower output than other BJF designs.

I noticed the difference between the toggles, but could not figure out what was switching.

I was running the volume close to 2:00 for unity. Is that about right?

Cheers! 3.5% is OK, but 7.5% is preferred!

Toggles switch clipping, diodes, LED, ..and yes, the volume is alot less than some other BJFs. More like the DRD where unity is up on the dial as compared to the EGDM , MH, ect.

When Nic of NOC3 did the PCB design he thought it would be nice to have alternate secondary clipping sections. When the switch is in the middle position the secondary clipping is to the LED's when to either side you have either the transistors (original FF design) or a diode clipping sections.
