I agree, these enclosures are beautiful in person!
I already secured most of the jacks/switches/pots to the enclosure, but I'm waiting on some flush clippers before I start soldering the board together. Also waiting for the instructions so I can figure out how the board is secured. Very excited though! Happy holidays in the mean time, looking forward to starting this.

I am visiting family for a couple days but there is a good board population tutorial in the first ff thread.

If you need fuzz by Christmas you can visit the general guitar gadgets website for general build instructions. I don't use standoffs to secure the circuit boards. I usually just add a dab of clear silicone.

After I get back from Christmas I am planning on doing a photo tutorial unless someone beats me to it.

Merry Christmas

Glad you guys are diggin them so far ! yeah thats the one nice thing about the tecniques I use, they always look better in person, so I know if someone likes the picture they will dig the pedal. Same with Johns etching, you dont see the depth it creates until its in your hand......... lookin good so far....

But John did all the work and busted his hump to get these kits together and out so Johns the one that put that smile on your faces 8) thanks mate.

Has mine been shipped?

When trying to track it I only get this:

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 23, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Usually it takes 6-7 days for a shipment from the US to reach me, and it really should have reached the customs by now.

it gives different clipping options, right?
--John, the info paper that the kit comes with is so well laid out! makes working on the fuzz very easy for a beginner like me.
one question for all interested: any recommended wire lengths for hooking up the pots jacks, etc?.. that's where things always get messy for me.

Has anyone in Europe received their kits?
As you can se a couple of posts above, thereĀ“s no information to be found when trying to track my kit...

Yes Christmas/New Year is a busy time for post offices in many countries, but not even a registration of the shipment having been handled by a post office in the US
Strange :?
