This is so cool! Many thanks & much appreciation for Bjorn & Donner, for their willingness to help out with support & organization!! I'm definitely in for 2 kits. Hopefully there won't be mass confusion from cross pollination with the TGP thread, but that will prolly work itself out...

Well this could be fun and educational and its more comfortable for Bjorn to help out here without feeling hes overstepping some unwritten rule or something ...
and it could open up a new facet for the community so as long as its a postive it can be a great project and a nice addition to the communtiy here and hopefully not be too confusing to others...... 8)

I'm in for at least 2 boards.

The kits are tempting, but I'm assumming the germanium path might be better? I'm not sure what to do about that since so many builders have quit offering certain fuzzes due to poor germanium transistors.

I'm in for two full kits! It may help to try to distill some of the pertinent info from the TGP thread...
Is jfromel a member here? Here's some particulars to what he posted at TGP, along with a parts list and some links:

When the list gets to 50 I will pull the trigger on the order. In my experience about 15 will flake. Price will be $10 for a board or $20 for a kit and shipping should not be more than $5 in CONUS.

The kit will not have germanium transistors but the other components will be top quality. Here is the BOM..... You should be able to click on the link and create your own order direct from Mouser if you like.

2 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 100Kohms 1% 50PPM
4 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 100ohms 1% 50PPM
1 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 1.0Mohms 1% 50PPM
5 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 10Kohms 1% 50PPM
1 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 47Kohms 1% 50PPM
1 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors 1.8Kohms 1% 50PPM
2 1n914 Diodes - Small Signal 100V 4.0ns Diode Single Junction
2 1n4001 Rectifiers Vr/50V Io/1A T/R
1 1N4002 Rectifiers 100V/1a Rectifier General Purpose
3 2N2219A Small Signal Transistors NPN General Purpose
1 2N2905A Small Signal Transistors PNP Gen Pur SS
3 Standard LEDs Red Tinted Diffused
1 Mica Radial Lead Capacitors 150pF 500V +/-5%
1 Radial Polyester Film Capacitors CAP 100V .022uF 5%
1 Radial Polyester Film Capacitors CAP 100V 0.047uF 5%
1 Audio Electrolytic Capacitors 35volt 100uF 20% Radial
1 Audio Electrolytic Capacitors 63volt 10uF 20% Radial

I have this priced out so I wont be losing any money, if there are an amazing amount of ordrers then I can bring the price down a bit or include shipping or something.

If you want to source your own germanium trannies Small Bear has some good stuff. I plan on driving up to Anacortes next week to see a guy who has buckets of old germanium trannies and diodes that are not tested or sorted and I will post what score when I get back. If I get a bunch I would sell some sets.
